A project for a leading commercial decorator

Project Overview

The team at Alan Cox Decorating recently completed a large painting and decorating project at Leicestershire County Cricket Club, on behalf of Fresh Start Solutions.

The project was scheduled to take 3 weeks and was completed in this time frame, in preparation for the start of the new cricket season.

What did the Project Involve?

The project involved the interior painting of the club house, including the team changing rooms. The team stripped and prepared each surface before applying a fresh coat of paint in the required colours.

Fun Fact: the away colour was selected as a off pink, in an attempt to get into the oppositions minds!

Exterior requirements involved the painting of building facias, railings and units. These exterior surfaces were fully stripped and prepared before painting to ensure a lasting finish that would stand up to our British weather!

What Materials and Equipment were used?

For the painting of the interior surfaces in the club house and changing rooms, we used Dulux Diamond Matt, which was mixed to match the client’s exact colour and style requirements. The exterior surfaces were painted with Zinseer Allcoat as a high quality, durable option to stand the test of time.

Our exterior painting work at the cricket club required the use of access equipment to allow us to reach high and difficult areas of the buildings and facias. Our staff are IPAF & PASMA trained, allowing them to work safely and efficiently while using the access equipment.
